I was headed out to get wood for the woodburner and found this deer in my driveway.
I ran upstairs to tell Madi to come look and by that time a second one showed up.
As we were looking out the (above pictured) window, directly below us stood a third deer. I have a picture of it's backside, but the kids make fun of it so I'll spare you. It looked right at us. I quicky ran downstairs to get a picture of it standing outside the window. It started to walk away by the time I took the picture.
There was a mommy deer and two babies (I think but what do I know I grew up in the city)
Isaiah was excited to get Thomas the Train and the train track to go with it. He has Percy too that his sister bought him for Christmas. He is so impressed with himself now that he can turn the trains on by himself. Boy, do they go through the batteries though!
Isaiah went through a phase (thankfully it was just a phase) where he'd tear up the house and everything in his path. He'd dump out toys and didn't play with them. He'd pull out all his books. I had to move the chippy-type snacks out of the bottom cupboard, so now he gets in the pantry and pulls out the cereal, crackers and whatever else he wants. Thankfully he doesn't make much of a mess with those. Anyway, the above resulted him being gated in his room from time to time.
I cleared out his room removing everything I could think of that he could get into. Obviously, he found something else!
This week, I went to get him when he woke up from his nap to find his crib falling apart. Not sure if it was because he jumps and yanks on his crib or because it used to be Rick's and the girls have used it too. He did try to tell me it was broke. He pointed at the problem and was talking up a storm of jibberish!
Isaiah just had to see what Jell-O felt like at lunch, and he was so starving at dinner (which constitutes anything after 6:00!) he learned to fend for himself while Momma was helping the girls get their food.
Makenna has two snow days this week. The girls wanted to pretend to go to work like Daddy so they set up a desk and papers. Too bad Daddy can't go to work in his jammies.
Isaiah is my best napper. He had had all he could take and just laid down in the livingroom.

Makenna made this sign for the girls' bedroom door. I think it's hillarious. (Still working on our B & D's)

Madi has recently taken an interest in writing her name. She's pretty good for just turning 4, I think. She learned on her own -- the only mistake she made was switching the A and D, but she has written it correctly ever since we told her. This week, she came to me with this paper. She had written LPS all by herself just by looking at her toys. I haven't taught her anything except the letters in her name! What a smartie!
