A Little Reminder Of Summer

This beauty bloomed on the first day of summer.

We've been experiencing less than "summery" days around these parts, and I just needed a little reminder.  May it brighten your day as well!



Happy Birthday, Isaiah!

Our baby turned 4 last week.  It's hard to believe in some respects.

He's such a source of joy AND laughter.  I'm rather loving our mother/son relationship and looking forward to all the time the Lord gives us together.

School Year In Review

Today we had Makenna's school evaluation which means her portfolio of school work and field trips is completed.  Here are a few of the pictures we included:

We are praising the Lord for how much Makenna has improved since we started homeschooling her in February.  We have no doubts this was the right path for her.  She has changed in so many ways, and I'm very appreciative of the time I had working with her. 

You may want to, however, check back with me come October when we are not "feeling the love" since all three kids will be homeschooled next year.  HA!

What We've Been Up To . . . [Anniversary Surprise]

Actually if I posted all of what we've been up to it would probably exceed the maximum amount of text allowable for a post!!  I don't even think I can recall everything we've been doing the last couple weeks.

Madison finished First Grade (with flying colors, I might add) for which I have pictures to post . . . eventually.  We have taken about a week off from Makenna's schooling for multiple reasons and haven't finished the last couple tests.  Then I must do the required evaluation and porfolio for the local school district.  When does life slow down??

So you aren't totally left without anything but my measly words, here's video I shot of my parents (Well, just mom technically.  Dad is on another video.).  They went to Hawaii for a couple weeks to celebrate their 40th anniversary (which isn't until July 25).  While they were gone, they hired my brother, Stephen, to fix and paint the walls in their room.  A bunch of family went in together to redecorate their room as an anniversary gift.
