Happy Birthday Uncle Steve!

Albeit late on my blog, we did celebrate Uncle Steve's birthday on time. Last Friday we drove up to Cleveland and joined the family for dinner in honor of his birthday. A special treat was being able to see my Papaw Gray. I don't even recall the last time we saw him since he lives in TN. Here's a couple pictures from our [short] adventure to Cleveland.

Musician In Waiting

Isaiah has always liked music. He can often be found off to the side of the auditorium "directing" the choir during choir practice or standing in the place of the choir director waving his arms after the service. Yesterday, we were near the workplace of a friend of ours. She teaches middle school students music and marching band. She took us on a tour of her music room and let Isaiah play the instruments. He played a snare drum, the gong, bells, maracas and many other instruments.

The big drum was his favorite! He kept saying, "Qwoze urz earz" and would start banging as loudly as he could.

I didn't think it was possible, but with her amazing teaching techniques she was able to get Isaiah to blow into the Baritone and get a good sound to come out!

He also liked the xylophone.
