The Fun Never Ends!

Because we couldn't leave the country without one more country adventure . . .

Today we found out we had baby bunnies in the flower bed by the front of the house.  We thought "Aw.  Three little bunnies.  How cute!"  We have a white mommy bunny, Winter, and a black and white daddy bunny, Oreo, that run freely in our yard.

Makenna started pulling them out, and the kids started naming them.  This one is Lil Oreo.

Twins!  Oreo boy.

Then came Snowflake!

Then Makenna discovered THERE WERE MORE!

Now there are four . . . we quit naming them at this point.

1, 2, 3, 4 . . . we're up to 5 now.

And 6!

Finally we pulled them all out for a total of 7!  (There was one casulty -- a white bunny.  So we would have had 4 B&W and 4 White ones.)

I do have to say they are pretty cute! But they are staying here with the house.

I had to make the kids smile for this pic because I had just told them they couldn't take the bunnies to their new house.

But they will enjoy the bunnies while they can . . .

Birthday Girl's Day

Here are a few pictures from Madi's 7th birthday celebration . . . gifts, Chuck E. Cheese, singing and cupcakes at gym class, dinner at the "peanut place" (aka Texas Roadhouse where you can throw the peanut shells on the floor) plus a little extra fun with Papaw and Gramma over Thanksgiving.

Today was the 7th birthday of our precious second child . . .

MADISON RENEE

(This is Madi as the servers at the restaurant sang to her.)

We sang to her (numorous times), opened gifts from family (numorous times throughout the day), attended homeschool gym class (sang Happy Birthday and had cupcakes there), went to Chuck E. Cheese and ate dinner with Nana & Pappy.  To top the night off, the kids went to Nana & Pappy's house for a sleepover -- more like a free packing day for Mom & Dad on Saturday, but nonetheless, the kids are excited!

I'd like to also wish my little brother, Jon, a Happy Birthday.

He'll probably kill me for adding this picture of him (taken by a friend helping him learn about lighting while taking photos).  If not, he'll kill me for saying he's single -- takers anyone?!? HA!  Love ya, Jon!

I'd also like to take the opportunity to mention today would have been my dear friend Kristin's 36th birthday.  Please continue to pray for her husband and their four children.  Today was diffucult for them as I'm sure the upcoming holidays will be also.

I cannot close this post without saying Happy Birthday to my brother-in-law, Josh.  His birthday is tomorrow.  For my first and only brother-in-law, I'd have to say you're pretty awesome!  Thanks for keeping my sister in line! ;)

Thanksgiving Art Project

First of all, I have my camera back!  My new camera I should say.  They ended up replacing it since they couldn't repair it.  This is why I love Best Buy and their warranties!!

But back to the story at hand . . .

Tonight we had Art Class.  Thanks to our friend with a Silhouette, we made special place cards that we will use next week on Thanksgiving.

As you'll see, the kids had a blast!  [Please excuse the after bathtime look.]

House Update

UPDATE (11/11 10 pm):  Signed the sales agreement on our house late this morning.  It was a little nerve racking as we still hadn't heard from the seller on our new house.   Just before the close of the business day, we heard from the realtor.  The sellers agreed on our latest proposal.  We will sign the papers and send them over Monday, start the loan process, line up an inspector, start packing, etc.  Fun, fun!

Thanks again for all your prayers!  Couldn't have made it this far without them!

Only have a second . . .

We have a deal with our buyers although we haven't sent it in because . . .

the owners of the house we want are being a little difficult on the details!  We sent a letter over with our final offer.  Praying for the Lord's will.

Folks,

I don't even know where to begin . . .

Today we had TWO appointments for people to come look at the house . . . on the very FIRST day we allowed appointments.

The first person that came to look has already put in an offer . . . IN WRITING!  We do have to counter offer a little bit to get out of the house what we'd like to, but they are poised and ready to move!  They'd like to close by early December.  Isn't that like THREE, count them THREE weeks away??? Yikes!

It's nowhere near a done deal, but we've been asking God to make it clear.  (How's that for clear?  CRYSTAL!)  We are continuing to pray (and stock up on packing tape, sharpies and boxes).

Thanks to you that have been praying -- there's no other explaination for what has occurred!

Where We Stand

UPDATE (11/8 8:15 pm):  There are now two people coming to look at our house tomorrow (2nd people are coming at 12:30 pm).  Our realtor told Rick "both of these people are looking to sign quickly if they find what they are looking for".  Trying not to get too excited, but I'm REALLY praying this goes through quickly.  Only so much a homeschooling mother of three can handle!

Just a little housing update:

Today we received a counter offer on the house we'd like to buy.  It's something we agree to and will sign the papers.  The papers will be presented to the owners tomorrow.  We'll start the inspection process as soon as we have a contract on our house.

The "New" House

Today we also received a call from our realtor.  We had noted on our listing that we wouldn't be taking any appointments until Wednesday, November 9, since we were out of town last week/weekend.  There is a lady interested in our home.  She's been looking for a nice home in our area for a while now, and she wanted to be the first one to look at our house.  So Wednesday at 10:00 am, I will be one, worn-out basket case!!

Homeschool Update

This makes me laugh.

Some days are just like this.  I chose to see the irony in it.

On a serious note, we're a quarter of the way through the year. YAY!  Finally settling into a rountine [only to uproot that routine and shift it all around with house showings and moving].  The Lord has been good.  Homeschooling is going much better than I thought it would go.  For that, I am truly grateful!
