It finally happened! Isaiah is walking! He's a little mechanical and wobbly, but he's on his own. The key was giving him something to hold in his hand. He feels confident like he's holding onto your hand. Wednesday afternoon, I thought I would try this trick. He took about five steps over to the couch. Once we arrived at church, I had to show Nana. I gave him a toy in the nursery and he took about eight steps! We had to run and get Daddy and Pappy. He did it again! He had the biggest smile on his face. It was almost like he wasn't even sure what was happening. Today, he didn't try as much although we weren't home a lot today.

We also tried self-feeding with a fork . . . it went pretty well. He's got a long way to go, but I think he had fun. He might have a little OCD like his sister. He couldn't stand for his hands to be messy. I took the fork away and tried to hand him a noodle. He wasn't very interested in touching his food and wanted his fork back. He does okay with cubed cheese, crackers or non-messy foods, but he didn't like the spaghetti sauce.
Managing to put some food in his mouth.

His new face after he takes a drink . . . "Mmm, ehhh!"
Not . . . quite . . . sure . . . uh, uh, uh (meaning "get it off")!

That is soooo cute. That is just the way Brian was with walking. If he had a toy he could walk but if you toook the toy away he wuold fall down. It remined us of the Road Runner and the Coyote going over the cliff : )
congratulations!!!
