I become more concerned the older my girls get. Modesty is not on the minds of clothing designers. I'm thankful I can sew, for thrift stores and for the few stores that offer modest clothing.
My goal has always been that my kids not look like goofs when they dress modestly. I've found a couple cute skort patterns for play clothes, but we've always had to layer clothes to make swimwear modest. Until recently. I can't remember if I was just searching the internet or how I found a lady that custom sews swimsuits. Now mind you, it's a huge investment, but I figured Makenna will pass her swimsuit down to Madison and that we could sell them once they out grew them. I will have to save up some more money before I can buy one for myself.
The girls were thrilled to pick out their choice of fabric and styles. I had found a Hello Kitty swimshirt at the thrift store, so this year we only had to buy a skirt (with leggins) for Madison. I'm hoping we can get a couple years out of these [fingers crossed]!
